A drawing can be more compelling when it is not asked to prove everything. The Formula is a small, hand-drawn sequence of symbols presented with a large story: sound, light, frequency, intelligence history, altered states, and a decades-old encounter. The usual instinct is to force all of that into one verdict. This investigation takes a more revealing route. It separates the visible artifact from the remembered event, the symbol family from the exact source, and the science words from the meanings placed around them.

The result is not a smaller story. It is a sharper one. The supplied envelope can be read as a hybrid of modern Western chakra imagery, its phrase “sound, light and frequency” can be unpacked with real physics, and its surrounding account can be honored as testimony without being converted into borrowed proof. No source reviewed establishes an Office of Naval Intelligence connection, UAP claim, paranormal event, physics law, or health effect from the drawing.

Start with the programme resources, not a promise

The Formula is not a medical programme or a test of “frequency.” The resources below are optional tools for a consistent, quiet attention-and-journaling session while reading the investigation. They are not evidence for the envelope, its reported history, a chakra claim, altered states, or any clinical outcome.

Primary optional resource: 12 Chakra Dynamic Light Body Biophotonic Advanced Energetics. Use only the session duration shown in the app and follow its instructions. Keep the same setup if you choose to use it across the three days below. The practical value here is consistency of attention, not a claimed effect.

The artifact, as presented

Supplied photograph of a torn paper envelope bearing a vertical run of hand-drawn geometric symbols, crossing lines, an Om-like glyph, and the handwritten label anja
Exhibit: supplied envelope image. The image documents visible marks in the form presented here. It does not independently establish the drawing’s author, date, delivery, provenance, or intended meaning.

The supplied envelope image shows a vertical run of marks: a filled square near the base, a crescent, a downward-pointing triangle, interlaced triangles, an oval-like form with short side strokes, a sun-like circle, a word read as “anja,” crossing outer lines, and an Om-like sign above. Those are observations of an object as presented. They are the part of the story that can be looked at directly.

Everything around the sheet belongs in a different category. The dossier reports that a person called “JC” drew and delivered it at a 1996 event, used the phrase “sound, light and frequency,” and made claims about intelligence affiliation and future disclosure. Those are witness recollections. They may be important testimony, but the paper itself cannot establish who drew it, when it was drawn, what anyone knew, or why it was given.

A key finding: the lower sequence belongs to a real visual family

The envelope is not a random scatter of symbols. Its lower sequence has a recognizable visual logic. In the English-language presentation of The Serpent Power, published under the name Arthur Avalon, the elemental forms associated with the lower centres include a square for earth, a crescent for water, a downward-pointing triangle for fire, and a six-cornered air figure at the heart centre.[1] The underlying Ṣaṭcakranirūpaṇa is a Sanskrit work attributed to Pūrṇānanda, while the familiar modern Western chakra system is also the product of later selection, translation, and recombination.[2] [3]

That comparison produces a useful correction. The downward triangle is not automatically an inversion or a mistake. In the Avalon/Woodroffe plate for Maṇipūra, the fire triangle is already apex-down.[1] The familiar square, crescent, downward triangle, and interlaced-triangle run therefore supports a shared iconographic family more strongly than a hidden reversal theory.

It does not identify the exact source image. The source presentation places a circular white ether region at Viśuddha, the throat centre, rather than a plain vertical oval with lateral bars. It also treats Om within the Ājñā complex and presents Sahasrāra as a thousand-petalled upper lotus, not as a simple freestanding Om icon.[1] That makes the upper part of the sheet more interesting, not less: it appears compatible with a later Western synthesis rather than a clean reproduction of one canonical plate.

The spelling is another small but telling limit. Standard Sanskrit writes the brow-centre name as Ājñā, also rendered in practical English as Ajna chakra. If “anja” was intended to name that centre, it is nonstandard. The marks do not tell us whether this was a misspelling, a quick freehand label, a deliberate alteration, or something else.[4]

Diagram 2. A shared motif family is not an exact-source match. The lower forms have published parallels; several upper marks remain interpretive.

Why this is more breathtaking than a code theory

The deeper reveal is a change in method. The sheet contains enough familiar imagery to invite immediate recognition, but not enough to justify a single total explanation. It can be read as a condensed snapshot of the Western chakra poster and paperback culture that combined Sanskrit-derived motifs, Theosophical and esoteric reinterpretations, popular consciousness literature, and modern self-development language across the twentieth century.[3]

That is not a dismissal. It is a genuine historical finding. A few freehand shapes can carry a long migration of ideas across translation, illustration, teaching, private practice, and popular media. The power of the image is not that it obliges one supernatural conclusion. It is that it lets a reader see how a visual language travels, changes, and remains emotionally potent.

The remembered encounter and the documents around it

There is one date that can be independently placed: NBC broadcast the two-hour Dark Skies premiere on Saturday, September 21, 1996, and contemporaneous trade coverage credits Bryce Zabel and Brent V. Friedman as writers on the production.[5] The public records reviewed for this article do not independently establish a particular premiere party, who attended, or the reported delivery of the envelope. Those remain witness accounts.

A related correction strengthens the history by making it precise. Public Navy records list John S. Herrington as Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Manpower and Reserve Affairs from October 1981 to February 1983. That is a documented personnel-and-reserve portfolio, not a title of Under Secretary of the Navy or a naval-intelligence office.[6] It neither verifies nor disproves a recalled private conversation. It simply prevents an office title from doing more explanatory work than the record allows.

Gateway and GRILL FLAME: real documents, no evidentiary bridge

Declassified records show that U.S. Army, DIA, and other Defense Department personnel investigated and evaluated parapsychology and remote-viewing-related work in the late twentieth century. A 1983 Army assessment by LTC Wayne M. McDonnell discusses the Monroe Institute’s Gateway Experience as an analytic model and proposes experiments. It is not a CIA-authored validation study merely because a released copy is available through the CIA Reading Room.[7]

A 10 July 1978 Army memorandum of conversation records Navy R&D official W. O. Mehuron as describing an earlier Navy interest in parapsychology and submarine applications. The record proves the attributed conversation was documented, not the whole underlying history, and it contains no reference to the envelope, a person called JC, or an Office of Naval Intelligence identity claim.[8] A later independent review concluded that the utility of remote viewing for operational intelligence collection could not be substantiated.[9]

That distinction is central to the new lens. A document can be authentic without authenticating every story placed beside it. History becomes more valuable when the connections are not imagined into existence.

Sound, light, and frequency: the clean physics

The phrase on the envelope deserves a careful reading because it joins three terms people often flatten into one. In physics, sound is a mechanical disturbance that needs a material medium. Light is electromagnetic radiation and can propagate through vacuum. Frequency is a rate of periodic variation, measured in hertz, that can describe either kind of phenomenon without making them the same thing.[10] [11]

That is a richer distinction than the slogan “everything is frequency.” Frequency is shared vocabulary, not a shared mechanism. A 440-Hz sound wave in air and a visible electromagnetic wave described in trillions of hertz are different physical events, with different fields, media, energies, and means of detection. A number alone does not turn one into the other.

For a plane electromagnetic wave in vacuum, wavelength and frequency are linked by c = fλ. That relation helps describe narrowband visible spectral light. It does not mean that every perceived color is one frequency, because color is also a perceptual result shaped by spectra, illumination, and the observer.[10] [12]

Likewise, repeatedly doubling a chosen musical reference can land its numerical value within the range used for visible optical frequencies. That is valid arithmetic, and it can be beautiful as an educational mapping. But it is not a conversion of an acoustic wave into light. A real conversion needs a specified device, coupling, energy transfer, and measurement pathway.[10]

Diagram 3. Sound and light are different phenomena. Frequency can describe periodic behavior in both, while resonance and sonification require a specified system or mapping.
Term What it means What it does not establish
Sound Mechanical disturbance through a material medium. A universal energy field or a direct route to light.
Light Electromagnetic radiation, including a visible range for human vision. A musical note, a medical effect, or a fixed chakra color.
Frequency A rate of periodic change, expressed in hertz. The wave type, mechanism, meaning, or outcome.
Resonance A system-specific response near a natural frequency, shaped by coupling and damping. A general claim that similarly named things are connected.
Sonification An intentional mapping of data to audible parameters. Evidence that a distant source or data set literally contains sound.

The physics equation claim: keep the question, not the overreach

The dossier also discusses a proposed numerical relation involving the fine-structure constant, the proton-electron mass ratio, and proton radius. The reference values themselves can be checked: NIST lists the CODATA 2022 inverse fine-structure constant and proton-electron mass ratio as recommended values, while the proton radius carries a stated uncertainty and a documented measurement context.[13] [14] [15]

What those records do not do is validate a later relationship assembled around the values. A close numerical fit found after the target is known is a hypothesis to investigate, not a physical law. Without a declared search space, a derivation that fixes the form, and a prespecified independent test, the number of matching digits has no calibrated global meaning.[16] The responsible editorial choice is to leave the equation outside the main story and keep the lesson inside it: precision requires a test that could fail.

Optional hardware layer: hold the setup constant

Layer Option Practical role in this investigation
Platform Frequency Healing App Access the optional reflection resource. The programme is not evidence for the artifact or a treatment.
PEMF iTorus i2 or iTorus i5 Optional consumer-wellness hardware for readers who already use one. Follow manufacturer instructions; do not change output to pursue a stronger experience.
Haptic Woojer Vest 4 with code EPEMF10 Optional, separate sensory layer. Its role is to keep a personal setup consistent, not to validate the article’s history or physics.

A three-day reflection: one image, one setup, one log

This is not an experiment on consciousness, energy, health, or the envelope. It is a simple reading practice. Use one setup, keep the session duration shown in the app, and write only what you observed about the material and your attention. Do not interpret sensations as evidence.

  1. Day 1: Look. Run 12 Chakra Dynamic Light Body Biophotonic Advanced Energetics at the app-shown duration. Study the envelope only as a set of marks. Log three things you can directly see and three things you cannot know from the page alone.
  2. Day 2: Place. Run 12 Chakra Dynamic Light Body Biophotonic Advanced Energetics at the app-shown duration. Revisit the lower-symbol lineage. Log which parallel is supported by a source and which remains only a possible reading.
  3. Day 3: Name. Run 12 Chakra Dynamic Light Body Biophotonic Advanced Energetics at the app-shown duration. Write a one-sentence distinction among sound, light, and frequency in your own words. Then write one question you still hold without forcing an answer.

Best practices for a thoughtful reading

Keep the page, the source, and your response in separate columns. A mark can be visible. A witness account can be sincerely held. A historical record can be real. An interpretation can be meaningful. None needs to impersonate the others.

If you use optional audio, haptic, or PEMF hardware, follow its manufacturer guidance and keep the arrangement consistent. Do not use the volume, output, duration, or a strong subjective response as a proxy for truth. A better question is simpler: What does this source actually let me say?
